Kamisaki asked what is SJ.Myers Briggs temperament.

For a pretty good definition of tyeps see Wikpedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myers-Briggs_Type_Indicator

Along with the Proust-Pivot-Lipton Questionaire, this is one I was planning on bringing up.

I am INTP

What are you people? I have my guesses on some of you already [Smile]

Oh, thanks for the link, I remember this thing now... I took one quite a while ago.. darn it, I believe I am an INTP. The version I had said I had the same type of personality as people such as Albert Einstein, if that helps tell you if my recollection is correct.

(Edited to change INTJ to INTP)

Depending on the day I take this, I'm INTP or INTJ.

I used to be more strongly INTJ, I think its a positive switch to be a little more flexible in that last category.

ISTJ, but that's from middle school. I've probably changed a bit since then.

So far, everyone who's posted is a Thinker. Granted, just four posters, but a trend's a trend. [Big Grin]

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Even though NT are relatively rare they tend to enjoy Science Fiction.. err Speculative Fiction [Wink] .

I guess I'm the only one who really hates this test ^_~

I can never answer the questions. I remember taking this in middle school, and having serious trouble with some of the questions, because I could answer multiple ways to many of them.

Unfortunately, I can't remember my end result *_*

I came out as:

Your Type is
ENTJ
Extroverted Intuitive Thinking Judging
Strength of the preferences %
33 44 44 78

I took the test before around a month or two ago, and I think this was the same result.

The last time I took it, they had funny little descriptions of each type:
"Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, as wrong as they are."

edited to add: did the longer test, came out I(S/N)TP

the one I did included an enneagram report which I found rather accurate.

How did your "F" score compete with your "T" score?

I do find the prevalence of the "NT" type fascinating. Also, we're pretty evenly split on "I" and "E" which is unusual - IIRC, it's about a 25/75 split over the entire population.

Ray and Rocketman,

As individuals I probably respect NFs more than any other temperament. It might be helpful to remember that we NTs tend to be suspicious of emotional arguments. It's not always that we don't care, it's that we care about true princliples.

Hehe... this is why all my arguments sound (as one Ornery boardmember put it) "airy". [Wink]

I don't care if they're "airy" which is classic ENFP "Champion". [Wink]

LetterRip: Thanks for the link.

code:
 E N T P
11% 67% 11% 44%

It's nothing I didn't already know. [Big Grin] I do find it interesting that I've gotten more introverted since I took it last, but I'm not surprised.

EDIT: My wife says it's her fault.

Last time I took it, IIRC, I was around 80% E, 70% P, and some marginal amount -- around 2-5% -- NF. The last two vary, though, depending on mood.

My last workplace actually attempted to create "teams" based on personality types, although this proved to be a miserable failure.

Typelogic has a good analysis of each personality type and seems fairly accurate.

Here's the link for INTP.
At the top of the page, there are links to each of the different personality types.

What I find most informative are the Functional Analysis included at the bottom of each description that details how the four functions in a given personality type interact and moderate each other to create concrete personality traits.

However, I gotta say that there were numerous questions I could have answered either way.

I'm extremely borderline INTJ or INTP, with:
100% I
22% N
78% T
and 1% J or P (depending on which way I answered a question I could easily have gone either way on). Many of the characteristics of both personality types fit me quite well. Given how few NTs in general there are, I wonder what the percentage of people like me in the overall population is (it does explain why I tended to get along so well with Everard when grad school let me be more active here, though).

Common, any "Sense"ers out there?
