You people should listen to me.

Just because I'm partisan doesn't mean I BS the numbers.

"OK, all kidding aside. I do like seeing how the various 3rd parties do. I admit it definitely streamlines their pages, but still... Even MN's senate race, in which a 3rd party guy is pulling a Perot, doesn't have him listed. Maybe it'll get changed in the evening, but who knows?"

Very annoying, I agree. Franken and Coleman suck so badly that a huge chunk of their vote slid to the independent. Man our Senate race sucked this year.

Unfortunately, things have devolved to the point that I'm going to have to stop participating on Ornery due to the advice of counsel.

No matter how many unwanted phone calls I continue to receive, I weaken my own case by participating here of my own free will when I know the person harrasing me participates here.

Be well, all. Or, Most.

Congrats to all who won today (or rather last night)!

I will be blaming you for all things that go wrong over the next four years. After the past eight it seems only fair. [Smile]

After a month I had to take back my Lincoln Expedition/Escalade because my company finally bought me my 09 Dodge Ram 2500 extended cab.

It is beautiful, but there are no radio controls on the handle, I actually have to reach to change the channel, the seat doesn't warm my butt in the morning, and it rides really rough. Life ain't fair! [Wink]

Got my first commission check and it is the biggest one I've gotten in almost twenty years. Now that damn Marxist in the White House is gonna start taking my money! Figures I finally get rich and we finally go Socialist. [Frown]

Jess, I hope you are kidding. And I'm going to be pissed if you aren't. You can't let someone run you off a forum. If it is that bad take legal actions. If not ignore him and let the Mod handle it. Block your emails from him. But do now run away!

That's my two cents but it's your life and if you do leave I will miss you immensely my friend. Keep in touch. Email me and I'll give you my new cell number.

Plus, I doubt anybody, with the possible exception of Ev, has ever had more mean knock down drag outs with Pete than I. But today he and I are real friends. We talk on the phone and exchange email and someday when I go to Vegas we will meet. I know you are mad now but things can be resolved.

Sheesh, Media Matters can't celebrate for a minute, can they? Now they're trying to criticize the media of today by criticizing the media of four years ago:

In 2008, will media recall 2004 declarations of Bush "mandate"?

Why don't you just wait until someone says Obama doesn't have a mandate? Or do you fear that that won't happen?

Dave, you and I have had a lot of misunderstandings, and I regret never having been able to iron them out. If you're ever planning to be in Vegas again, please drop me a note by email, and food & drinks are on me.

Mind if I ask why? I'm sorry if you've said this somewhere else; I haven't been reading Ornery too much as of late. But it seems to have gotten markedly better over the past week or so.

Edited to Add: Cum hoc ergo propter hoc? ;X

he was saying "with it means because of it?" i.e. "correlation means causation?"

Latin. Cum - with. Magna cum laude - mostly with honors. Summa cum laude - all with honors.

Phone calls? That's not me. Who else have you pissed off here?

In my opinion, making repeated unwanted phone calls (or sending repeated unwanted emails, or sending excessive letters, or spending too much time near someone's house) to someone is not something one does because one is pissed off.
It is something one does because one is unbalanced.

Healthy people don't deal with anger, disappointment, frustration, and other negative emotions that way.

I am reminded of my friend who just got a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, who would not stop calling her, sending text messages, and coming uninvited over to her house. Not because he was angry, but because he couldn't keep an appropriate emotional distance.

Guys. I just got a report that there were problems accessing the end of this thread (error messages received). We've posted so much we've gone and broke the thing! I'm locking this thread and starting a second one. We can continue where we left off there. [Smile]
