one interesting tactic he mentions that I was previously unaware of (but obvious in retrospect) is that the NSA, etc. can intercept parcels in transit and install firmware backdoors etc. So any electronics item you order, even if it didn't have factory backdoors installed might have had them installed during shipping. Also something impressive is that they sometimes replace the injection molding of your hardware - they build their bugging system into your hardwase frame, etc. So that physical inspection won't be able to find the bugs, etc.
Ie you order an iPod online, they can intercept it during shipping, and substitute the firmware, you plug the phone into your computer, the firmware then compromises your computer.
Really interesting (but long - 1 hr) talk, mostly stuff I was already aware of, but a few bits like the above that were new even to me
