I have had a feeling that that is why they are taking so long with the Jan 6 committee. Work up until the new Congress is in place and then have the DOJ take over. They can not stop the DOJ. And they can not stop the GA investigation.

From what I am reading it is not the special master that would be appealed, so much as the scope of what the special master can do. That is what look to be over reach from the Bench.  Of course Trumpist will say she is the most brilliant legal scholar in the country and her decision is above appeal.

So Trump's pet judge came through for him and named a special master.  Notice there were no calls for this judge to recuse themselves since they were appointed by Trump. Only Trump can ask for judges appointed by Dems to recuse themselves.

Let's see who is picked as the special master. I am sure Trump has a few ideas.  Maybe Jenna Ellis or Sydney Powell.

And if the judge actually picks someone impartial, how long before Trump trashes them for being bought and sold by the Gates/Soros deep state when they do not say the Gov can not use any of the documents.

I wonder if the ruling for a special master can be appealed?

Every time Law Enforcement asks for the evidence none shows up.  Rusty Bowers in AZ said the same thing. He asked Giuliani several times for Trump's evidence of fraud it never shows up. Not general, our numbers guy says it is really unlikely, but the names and addresses of people they say they have.  And what they do supply is quickly debunked. Or they never supply it. For two years Mike Lindell has been saying he is going to show the evidence. And nothing.

He is a gossip.  According to reports he loved the files that had dirt on leaders of other nations.  I would not put it past him to let slip that he knew the President of country X had had a secret affair and wouldn't it be terrible if that got out?  The Trump Crime family is run by a mob boss and extortion and blackmail is a mainstay of organized crime.

Oath breaking by Trump does not matter to Wm.  Trump lying and betraying his wives is OK with him since the ex wives are happy with their divorce settlements.

Of course someone said that Ivanna's NDA ended after 30 years of the divorce and that was this year. So it could be said her death was suspicious.

So a liberal MI group wanted to get an abortion rights amendment on the ballot for the fall. They needed 425,000 signatures to get it on the ballot. They got 750,000. And the Board of State Canvassers, split 2-2 on party lines, blocked putting it on the ballot.

The Republican members "argued that spacing and formatting errors in the text circulated to voters for their signatures rendered the effort invalid."

https://www.yahoo.com/news/michigan-board-blocks-certification-abortion-210314718.html

It clear enough for almost 3/4 of a million people to sign to get it on the Ballot. But now they will have to go to the State SC.

Republicans say "leave it to the people and the states" but do not really mean that.  Look at KS.  What do the Republicans fear with putting it on the Ballot? They fear it being made part of the state Constitution.

The photo was not leaked was it?  it was part of the response by the DOJ to Trumps filing asking for a special master.

Remember who publicized the raid. It was not the FBI or the DOJ.  It was Trump. Remember who asked for the Warrant to be released?  It was Trump. Remember who asked for the affidavit to be released (technically it was not Trump but he did socially)?

You have no proof that the picture was staged other than to show all of the government documents that Trump says he did not have. I am no talking about classification.  HE IS NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE GOV. DOCUMENTS LIKE THIS. Not with out going through the process of requesting them, like all previous Presidents have done. The PRA requires this.

Definition of Chain of Custody.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chain_of_custody

I think we would need more evidence that the repair shop had good enough security that it could be used as chain of evidence.  I have worked in computer repair shops and Chain of Custody would not qualify for any of those. Many people had access to the areas customers computers were stored in. Many people had keys to the areas that were locked at night (they were open during the day).

My presumption would be that any machine left for a period of time to qualify for the owner to claim it as his own would be that it was in easy access to almost any employee of the company.  Until it was turned over to the Police and cataloged, I think any lawyer worth his salt could get that idea tossed.

He posted on Truth Social. That is not a legal document.

If you notice he did not join the suit to release the affidavit. He could have but he did not. He let the media do that.

And that has nothing to do with the Special Master.  He could have filed that motion the next day. But he did not. He waited until the affidavit got released. Two weeks later.

And again please list who these scholars are?

And the reasons behind the warrant have nothing to do with classification.

It has to do with Trump possessing Gov documents that he is not allowed to have.

I agree that Trump has the power to declassify. But Wm has claimed that he has the ultimate power and that it can not be questioned or limited. That the President does not have to follow any of the rules in place to show that the documents have been declassified.

My question is where does this power come from?  If it is not the Constitution then it was given by some method. And that method can be used to limit that power, such as requiring the President to follow certain guidelines for the process to happen.

Additionally, I question the judgement of any President who has a standing order, of which there is no record, so it really is not a standing order, that any document taken out of the Oval Office is automatically declassified. That seems a very cavalier attitude to the most sensitive information this country has, as well as a casual disregard for the human assets that could easily be compromised by this Standing Order.

That is one of my major issues with this thought that Trump issued this Standing Order. Wm will not question the reasons behind it (if it exists).

They allowed past President to to do that once the papers were in the NARA possession and the past President made a request for the documents. They did not just take them. And when they were done they gave them back, correct? Trump denied he had them, claimed they were planted, claimed Executive Privilege which he is not allowed to due since he is not the Executive any more, claims he would have sent them back if just asked, but had been asked several times.

You mentioned the case of Sandy Burger who tried to smuggle documents out of NARA. How is this any different. These document do not belong to Trump and he had them with out permission.

Well since the RNSC stopped putting money after Trump supported Dr Oz, he is falling even further behind.

Now 13 points behind Fetterman.  Just listen to Trump whine that McConnel is not supporting Trump's candidate.  This falls squarely on Trump. Trump cost the Republicans the Senate due to the GA runoff 2 years ago and now Trump is going to hand the Dems 2-4 more seats.

Ultimately the issue is not classified of not. The issue is these were original Government documents that Trump had no right to posses.  And that is what the warrant was based on.

Wm, what ruling/law/reason gives Trump the right to have Gov documents in his possession after he has left office with out going through the proper procedure (just like every President before him did)? Why does he keep claiming they are "his"?

Even if he did declassify them it does not allow him to keep them.

And you have not answered where he gets this authority to declassify? Where in the Constitution is that power listed?
