More people died of Covid under Biden mainly due to two facts. First, he has been President with Covid being around longer than Trump. Trump was basically President during Covid for 10 months (mid March 2020 to Jan 2021.  Biden has been President for 22 months.  My guess is if you put the numbers in a per month basis, Trump was much worse. And Biden had the anti Covid Republican Gov to deal with.

The imbalance is even worse because Biden's had to deal with Covid reaching maximum spread for his whole tenure plus people getting fatigued with mitigation efforts.

Of course, there's no support for the idea that Trump would have been any slower at ditching mask mandates or otherwise trying to convince people that everything is fine. It seems more likely he would have announced that COVID was over following his re-election because it was just a liberal hoax.

Ontario's populist government is busy pretending everything is fine as our hospitals fill up with sick kids and I expect Trump would have done the same.

I asked the devote Trump followers I know if there were other Republican Leader that might be more effective in getting the GOP platform through.
They did a poor job expressing what the platform was as it was difficult to steer the conversating from 'woke' whatever that is.
After the conversation the conclusion was that they like Trump because they like the way it feels to 'stick it to the Liberals', even at the cost of hurting themselves.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I consider sanctuary cities to be open borders. No difference at all.
...

Your getting adept at moving the goal posts on extreme terms. Lies to voters is "massive voter fraud," every local cop not arresting illegal immigrants reporting a crime is "open borders."

Ummm...That would be Mayorkas, wouldn't It? "The border is secure. Mayorkas’ six-pillar “Plan for Southwest Border Security and Preparedness” is a continuation of the Biden administration’s approach to those illegally crossing the border; namely, quickly process them into the U.S., release them under parole, and grant them asylum..

The vote scamming is just a conspiracy - even though ballot harvesting was illegal in states that allowed such illegal ballots to be counted - giving the election to Biden. The vote scamming was a conspiracy = even though the DOJ protected the known to be authentic Hunter laptop to be hidden from voters, and the whistleblower accusations of Joe Biden and his Biden crime family getting rich off of foreign nations like China and Russia being unreported through a complicit media.

Yeah, there are election deniers, but the villains are the vote scammers and weaponized DOJ and MSM.

Where do we have proof illegal ballot harvesting was done? The only major case I know of someone getting caught was a Republican operative in NC in 2018.

What do you know is authentic about the Hunter Biden laptop? I'm sure we'll get 2 years of House investigations on it. I've said it before and I've said it again Hunter traded on his name abroad. Based on the DOJ investigation and tax filings it looks like he committed some types of tax evasion. Other than that I don't even know that we know it was authentically Hunter that took the laptop to the repair store.

Do you care as much about Hunter's millions as you do Kushner's billions?

Quote
Six months after leaving the White House, Jared Kushner secured a $2 billion investment from a fund led by the Saudi crown prince, a close ally during the Trump administration, despite objections from the fund’s advisers about the merits of the deal.

A panel that screens investments for the main Saudi sovereign wealth fund cited concerns about the proposed deal with Mr. Kushner’s newly formed private equity firm, Affinity Partners, previously undisclosed documents show.

Those objections included: “the inexperience of the Affinity Fund management”; the possibility that the kingdom would be responsible for “the bulk of the investment and risk”; due diligence on the fledgling firm’s operations that found them “unsatisfactory in all aspects”; a proposed asset management fee that “seems excessive”; and “public relations risks” from Mr. Kushner’s prior role as a senior adviser to his father-in-law, former President Donald J. Trump, according to minutes of the panel’s meeting last June 30.

Hunter and his shady business dealings should absolutely be kept away from the WH. He isn't a senior advisor to Biden the way Kushner was. Hunter has never had any government role. Hunter is largely free to trade on his dad's name to get good deals. It's unseemly, unsavory, and unethical, but unless Joe does something it isn't illegal.

Who would you rather vote for? Trump or Pence? Really? Who aligns more with your core beliefs? I am not talking about who can win but who you think represents you better?

It is enlightening how wrong the criticisms of Trump's announcement speech was. To those who actually watched it (only on Newsmax) and not just edited snippets and pejorative quips about it, the consensus of opinion was that it was a very good speech - with many differences from his normal rally speeches.

For those who want to see for themselves, here is a link to (most) of the speech from Fox News.  (Well, a link to a link.) It's only 1 hour and 4 minutes of the speech, but I suspect it covers most of it. :)

So we can judge for ourselves if it was a very good speech or not, and not rely on anyone else.

You can tell me about it, because I've heard enough of Trump for myself to know that I don't need to hear anymore.  :P

There has officially NOT been a platform for nearly four years.

What are the chances that we will see select members of the GOP side with the Democrats attacking Trump.  You already see Fox News and some of his staunch supporters backing away.  It makes me wonder if they are moving to throw him to the wolves to cut future losses and prevent a party civil war..  If he has enough dirt on prominent members it may be slow but I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing "new" information coming out from former friends.
