How can Pagliano not Testify?

Can anyone explain how Pagliano thinks he can refuse to testify after being granted immunity?  To my understanding, not cooperating after you have a deal is a violation of the deal.

Depends on the terms of the deal he cut, if he just made the deal "to cooperate with the investigation" by providing information to the investigators, he may be able to skirt around the need to testify as to how he knew of the information. It's a very fine line to dance upon, but it's there. Depending on the quantity and quality of the information he provided, the prosecutor may have decided he "wasn't needed" as a witness since it lead to other evidence chain(s) they could use in court independent of his involvement.
