Roy Moore can't take a hint.
« on: June 20, 2019, 07:01:00 PM »
Our favourite ephebophile has decided that he got done wrong in the last election and he's going to do it right this time.

Lol even Trump JR can't rationalise a way into backing this.

Some of my favourite quotes.

"You've seen one Roy Moore Senate campaign, you've seen the mall."

"Roy Moore doesn't want to be judged by things he did when his girlfriends were 16."

"Keep in mind that the Alabama Senate race is still young, which is why Roy Moore is still interested."

Remind me again, is Senator Menendez still representing NJ?  Love how Roy Moore deciding to run a long shot primary campaign is national news.  Why is that?

Primarily because he is associated with Trump, and because it's quite astonishing that he'd be making another run.

I'm sure one day it will be made into a TV movie.
The question that comes to mind is why would he put himself through this?

By "associated" you mean that Trump supported his opponent in the primary, Strange, and only supported him in the general because it was too late to replace him on the ballot?  Why is that "associated" in your world?

Associated, not allied. Trump is against him openly, which elevates his profile.

The poll from Cygnal shows Moore polling at 13 percent, placing him a distant third behind former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville and Rep. Bradley Byrne (R., Ala.). Moore's net favorability is 38 percent, and 31 percent of Republicans would consider voting for Sen. Doug Jones (D) over Moore in a head-to-head race.

Moore is one of five declared Republican candidates vying to challenge Jones in 2020. Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill and state Representative Arnold Mooney also registered support among primary voters in the poll featuring all five notable candidates.

Which highlights more, what is he up to? This was easy to predict. Did he want 3 more minutes of infamy? Is he there to make the other Republicans look better? Or is he just a crazy person who talks too much?
