I have actually lurked on this site for long enough to remember the days where there were impassioned multi-thousand word posts on the science that supposedly backed young-eartherism (I didn't join back then 'cos I was sure my typing speed wasn't up to the required rate - some of those posts were _long_) so its nice to know that the breed has not completely died out here.  :)

Speaking to reporters during his first trip to Asia as president, Biden said the United States would defend Taiwan militarily if it came under attack by China — despite the U.S. policy of remaining vague on the subject — and that deterring Beijing from aggression in Taiwan and elsewhere was among the reasons it was critical to punish Russian President Vladimir Putin for his “barbarism in Ukraine.”

Look at that crazy Joe Biden. So out of touch with reality that he forgot he was in China's pocket.

"President Biden seems to praise high gas prices as 'incredible transition' Americans must go through"

There's a lot of truth here from Biden.

The Democrats actually want higher gas prices because of the environmental agenda. And that's fine. The higher gas prices are actually what is needed to make this transition Biden and the Democrats have wanted since Al Gore brought it up some time back.

The problem I've had is that often times they won't admit the truth. They've been blaming Russia for higher gas prices when higher gas prices have been what they've wanted all along. To be sure, Russia is contributing greatly but acting like Democrats haven't been rubbing their hands with glee as prices surge at the pump, envisioning all of that global warming being prevented, struck me as duplicitous. The effects on inflation are also huge and devastating and trying to skirt the blame for that when it's so obviously and predictably a result of the agenda is cowardly and duplicitous. It's nice to see Biden finally, to some extant at least, owning up to it all.

Democrats (for the most part) aren't gleeful at high gas prices. Its going to sink them in the midterms. The war in Russia causing energy and food inflation combined with supply chain issues is what is causing most of the inflation we're seeing. Democrats do see that high gas prices are a driver for climate change policies and motivators for people to use fuel efficient vehicles. Democrats have been encouraging that change for years. Republicans continually resist it. So now when there is a world energy crisis everyone feels a ton more pain than if we had pushed more aggressively on fuel efficiency and electric cars. The average consumer doesn't study long term trends in oil prices before buying a new car. They saw the price drop and bought up inefficient trucks and SUVs and when the price inevitably went up they are going to blame Biden and elect a bunch of Republicans. Maybe we get a little more domestic drilling, a gas tax reduction, or something that reduces the pain a little until the next crisis. But from a national security standpoint the easiest way to cut Venezuela, Iran, and Russia off at the knees is to get off of oil. Maybe then we could care about human rights in Saudi Arabia or at least be able to quit selling them weapons.

Speaking of less pain, we just had a major power outage in Ontario and Quebec when winds hammered our power lines. If everyone had had an electric car in their driveways with the ability to act as a battery as Ford's new truck can, then there would have been a lot less disruption and waste. Granted, it wouldn't help for a longer power outage but gas would start to be an issue in that case, too.

Uncle Joe gave the commencement speech at my Alma Mater today.

Quote
“I was told the Class of ’72 is here. I was appointed to the academy in 1965 by a senator who I was running against in 1972 — never planned it that way. I wasn’t old enough to be sworn in. I was only 29 years old when I was running,
He was a fine man. His name is J. Caleb Boggs, I didn’t come to the academy because I wanted to be a football star. And you had a guy named [Roger] Staubach and [Joe] Bellino here. So I went to Delaware.”

Biden graduated from University of Delaware in 1965 so there is no way he was appointed to USNA in '65.

Bellino was class of '61 and Staubach was '65 and they didn't overlap.

Given the strict honor code Midshipmen hold themselves to it's infuriating to see him being so dishonest.

You do realize that old people (and even young people) have memory errors especially about trivialities like dates?  Why not go with the drastically more likely possibility that he got a date wrong than that he was lying?  If he was appointed in 1961, then the dates all line up.  He could have been aware that Bellino would be going, he wouldn't have necessarily known that Staubach would be graduating.

Or he could be misremembering what football stars it was (from 61 years ago... how many details do you remember perfectly...).

Why can't the Democrats admit their responsibilities for everything they've done? Nothing failed under Trump. That happened as Biden stopped Trump policies and ignored his achievements. You can't deny that every time Biden blocked a successful Trump initiative that the result was negative. I, personally believe the whole Covid-19 closing of the economy was a Democrat strategy to block Trump's reelection. No one can prove the Pandemic was politically inspired, but it sure has some interesting coincidences that all focus back to the Democrats, though.
OK - I know that I'm going to regret asking this but how do you manage to construe the worldwide Covid pandemic as a Democrat plot?  That seems even more implausible to me than the CIA raiding servers and the Kraken (both of which seem to have faded into the mist).

A Democrat plot because the Dems prepared beforehand to use a crisis to help their vote-scamming. We know Pelosi's first bill when she gained power was to grab election authority in new ways that ensured unprecedented stolen votes because of something like a pandemic triggering that usage.

D'Souza's 2000 Mules showed video evidence of enough vote scamming to steal the election. The video came from the official cameras watching the controversial ballot boxes. They showed operatives illegally stuffing ballots. They were tracked visually and by legally-obtained cell-phone tracking them from Dem ballot pick-up centers to various ballot boxes in multiple places. The numbers tracked are far beyond the numbers needed for them to have stolen the election.

The pandemic had Democrat fingerprints all over it. Y'know Fauci's Eco Health Alliance company that was banned in the USA from gain of function research was moved to Wuhan after the Chinese General said the Chinese wanted to start biological warfare. The virology center was owned by Soros and Gates.

I guess science only is looked at if the Dems say it is worthy of their support. Show real science that proves them wrong and they attack the science.

Here is some real science: The only thing that impacts mass-shootings comes from the creation of gun-free zones. Concealed Carry prevents mentally deranged shooters from killing. What else do you need?

Nope. That's not me. I'm the guy who pointed out that the Church was always based in science. It was denigrated by Andrew Dickson White, who was running for President of Cornell and admitted he wrote how Columbus fought the religious extremists who used the Bible to decree the Earth was Flat. Dickson admitted he wrote this to "get even with his Christian critics of his plans for Cornell." Dickson lied. He knew the church supported science. Columbus was stopped because he thought Japan was only 2,080 miles from the Canary Islands. Science and the Church knew the Earth was round; the "sundry wise men of Spain" knew it was over 14,000 miles. Had Columbus not run across an unsuspected continent - his crew would have all died at Sea. Dickson wasn't the only educator who lied because he believed the ends justifies the means. Who is more anti-science? Those whose beliefs allow them to lie to denigrate religion - or those who have always nurtured science?

Well I would blame it largely on monetary policy tbh. And I personally don't buy that all the inflation we're seeing now is due to Russia, even in the oil sphere. Food prices were skyrocketing before, and it had nothing to do with the "the world's breadbasket". Oil is potentially the only commodity where it makes sense to directly blame the war, and even then I think it's a price grab. In fact I have seen it said that they want, or even need oil prices to be this high in order to curb consumer demand. That's a political position, not a physical reality.

Incorrectly posed question. The inflation began during Trump's tenure - but only after the Pandemic was used as a crisis to be exploited by the Democrats. The need for chicanery to defeat Trump's almost guaranteed reelection was designed before 2018, when the new majority leader, Pelosi's, first bill was passed on a straight-line party vote to exploit ballot harvesting during a pandemic (when one wasn't even expected.) The actual inflation started when Biden started deleting all of Trump's successful actions. Every time one of Trump's successes was stopped, the economy was impacted and Biden hypocritically blamed it on Trump. All of the economy was started on a downward track by the Democrats and Biden. I've posted about the Marx/Engels strategy of Immiseration, and the Democrats need to reinforce it with "Global Immiseration" because all of society gained under Free Enterprise, so they needed to claim the USA was doing good at the expense of the rest of the world.

Trump had stopped all wars and aggression, but Biden's timid international mismanagement catalyzed many aggressive action - including the Taliban and Putin. These outside actions did extend the damage to our economy, but their initiation was caused by Biden and the Democrats.

Trump had stopped all wars and aggression,
...

I must have missed this era of global peace. Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan. All were free of conflict during the Trump Golden Age (TM). Iran sending rockets at American bases in Iraq, never happened. China wasn't aggressive at all in the South China Sea. Iran didn't ramp up their nuclear program again. All figments of reality that don't exist in the Trumpverse (TM). The Trumpverse, just as fictional as the marvelverse.

msquared and Yossarian, you both are the exemplification of all that is bad with Biden and the Democrats. You can say you aren't even Dems - but are Never-Trumpers in spite of what you should have learned by now. Face it. Trump was good, not bad.

Hillary was a mess before the election in 2016. She was branded as a felon by Comey - but allowed to skate, anyway. Now, six years later, we know - not guess - that Hillary invented the Russian collusion and the construction of a non-existent straw-man Trump. Almost everything bad about Trump, that has inspired the Never-Trumpers, has been proved false.

Now we have arrests from the 2000 Mules documentary. This includes Arrested Mules who have plead guilty, and Dems who plead guilty who ran the ballot-supply centers for the Mules to get the scammed ballots. We also have a nightmare investigative committee presenting pure propaganda tonight.

Why? The complicit media has avoided presenting it at all. Everything the politically correct sycophants lied about is slowly being uncovered and there is no place for them to hide.

...Except for sycophantic apologists who use the fallacy of Laughter by Intimidation to tey to ignore the newfound proof of how wrong they have been. Like I've been saying. We need their apologies for how wrong they have been - not continued lies and accusations that the goodness and light are the bad guys.

Truth claims made by William in the above post:
1) Two posters here exemplify of all what William believes is bad with Biden and the Democrats.
2) Those posters may claim to not even be Democrats, but being "Never-Trumpers" still results in exemplifying what's wrong about Democrats.
3) Trump was good, not bad.
4) Hillary Clinton was branded as a felon by James Comey despite not being indicted or convicted.
5) "Russian collusion" was entirely an invention of Hillary Clinton, despite several individuals actually being convicted.
6) Almost everything bad about Trump (no specifics given) has been proven false.
7) D'Souza's 2000 Mules documentary has resulted in arrests and guilty pleas, both from Mules transporting "scammed ballots" and Democrats who ran centers supplying those ballots.
8 ) Investigations into the failed insurrection on January 6th are pure propaganda.

I hope people find this helpful.

D'Souza lies again, and wm laps it up.

Quote
“The Sheriff of Yuma saw our movie, went berserk and has opened up an investigation in Yuma, Arizona and I believe there will be arrests very soon,” D’Souza said on the podcast, which is produced and distributed by conservative media company Blaze Media.

Rebuttal?

Quote
“The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office has been working jointly with the Yuma County Recorder’s Office and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office extensively regarding allegations of voter misconduct for over a year,” Yuma County Sheriff Leon Wilmot said in an emailed statement to the Arizona Mirror.

“These ongoing investigations are not related to or inspired by any movie or celebrity figure, but rather facts and evidence regarding violation of Arizona statute,” Wilmot added. “I am not familiar with, nor have I ever communicated with, any individuals who may now be claiming I am investigating on their behalf or because of any supposed inspiration from a documentary film.”

Just a brief clap back here against Biden for leaving Tesla out of the EV summit.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/news/they-have-so-much-power-over-the-white-house-elon-musk-explains-about-one-particular-group/ar-AAYXN0i?ocid=uxbndlbing&cvid=2e015bb661c0470c85e739d08dc7d56f

"While President Biden has now referenced Tesla when discussing the future of EVs, that wasn’t always the case. President Biden lauded the likes of Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) and General Motors Company (NYSE: GM) for being American made and the future of the county.

Knowing what we know now, the praise feels especially tone def and exclusive, given the recent reports from cars.com, citing Tesla, as the most American made manufacturer, who landed more cars in the top ten of ‘American Made Models’ than any other manufacturer.

Musk has also said in an interview that “In case that wasn’t enough, then you have President Biden with Mary Barra at a subsequent event, congratulating Mary for having led the EV revolution.” Musk continued “I believe it was in the same quarter that GM delivered 26 Electric Vehicles, and Tesla delivered 300,000.”

-------------------------------------------------

Biden let his politics and personality issues get in the way of progress.

Usually someone like that would get accused of talking one way and acting another, but Biden talks one way and then talks another way too. He's nonsensical. And small minded, petty, along with grudging too. No better than the last guy and in most ways a whole lot worse.

Did not getting invited to the White House really hurt Tesla,  musk, or do anything to hamper progress? Also 2021??? For a minor snub of an unpredictable billionaire? Guess the right wing media is searching hard to talk about anything but Trump assaulting his secret service personnel so he could go watch people riot for him at the capital.

I think you're confused if you think anything productive gets done at a two day "summit". It's all poltiical. And in this case, it was really a UAW event. Inviting a CEO that abuses his employees to an event celebrating workers and unions would have made things kind of awkward.

bad bad bad

Quote
A former production supervisor who left the company in 2019 said he almost got a divorce because he was spending so much time at work. He said working up to 70 hours per week was not unusual.

"I'm thankful I got fired, because I was working a lot and now my marriage is better," he said.

Quote
"The worst part is the toxicity that Elon creates — unrealistic stretch targets without a realistic plan in order to achieve them," a former manager who worked directly with Musk said. "It's a culture in which, if you don't have a solution to a problem and you don't have that problem resolved within a few days or a week or two, you're gone. So it's better to keep your mouth shut."

I mean, I understand Musk is a big hero to people who think success is measured by profit. He's a troll, and he would have nothing to contribute in this context, likely to have tweeted anti-union stuff during the whole event as a distraction.

Elon brought this up while being interviewed by Bezinga about his layoffs and financial future as a distraction. But make no mistake, where it really comes from is Elon's terror that UAW might convince his workers to unionize and prevent his abuse. I'm no fan of unions, I consider them a last resort to hold Billionaires accountable for how they treat people. It really says something about how you're taking care of your employees when over 50% of them are willing to pay dues to stick it to you and make their lives better.

...Guess the right wing media is searching hard to talk about anything but Trump assaulting his secret service personnel so he could go watch people riot for him at the capital.
Quote
🔹2000 Mules featured the crimes of Guillermina Fuentes and Alma Juarez who were caught with hidden cameras setup by David Lara and Arizona State Senate candidate Gary Snyder. Their work was the culmination from years of investigating the ballot fraud operation.

🔹The investigation team provided the evidence to Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich before the 2020 Presidential Election, but he waited until December 2020–after the election–to file these charges.

“Attorney General Brnovich of Arizona was given massive information on the fraud and so-called ‘irregularities’ that took place in the 2020 Presidential Election,” President Donald J. Trump said in a statement on April 18. “Many people said that he would do nothing about it because that just seems to be the way he is.”

“He wants to be politically correct,” Trump nailed it. “Because of the amount of time that it took him to do the report, which was endless, his poll numbers have been rapidly sinking.”

🔹Recent polling shows Trump was right as Brnovich, who is running as a RINO candidate for Senate, is experiencing big drops in his support numbers.

🔹Arizona GOP primary is set to be held on Aug. 2, and the winner will face incumbent Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ).

🔹This election will be a competitive race that could determine the fate of Congress.

🔹Biden “officially” defeated Trump by about 10,000 votes in the state because of the illegal voter and ballot fraud experienced in Arizona.

🔹Brnovich and Biden have experienced a enormous declines in approval ratings since January 2021.

🔹Despite her indictment for election fraud, Fuentes continues to serve on the Gadsden Elementary School Board.

🔹Fuentes’ daughter, Lizeth Esparza, was hired by the Board as Superintendent of the district shortly after her indictment.

🔹Ballot harvesting is illegal in Arizona, with the state legislature having passed a law in 2016 to criminalize the mass collection of mail-in ballots, usually by political operatives.

🔹Watchdog organizations repeatedly indicate Democratic interest groups of engaging in mass ballot harvesting, and Arizona has used mass mail-in election procedures for decades.

Yes, further evidence that complicit officials did not do anything before or immediately after the election to stop the scamming, or let the people know it was happening, allowing people like yossarian to plead ignorance.

Since the witness is now facing indictment for lying - by the DOJ, her usefullness to the illiicit committee is nonexistent.

Try to take a deep breath and focus. D'Souza claimed that he sparked the investigation into one particular individual, as I demonstrated from his claim that the sheriff opened his investigation because he saw the film. Then the sheriff makes it clear that the investigation began long before the film came out.

This leaves you with a few narrow choices, Wm.

1. D'Souza was lying.
2. D'Souza is delusional.
3. The sheriff has access to time travel.
4. The sheriff altered documents to make it look like the film did not inspire him.

Try to address this directly instead of veering off into irrelevancy.

WM-Yes there were two indicted however this was NOT in the general election.  It was the primary.  No one here claims NO fraud occurs.  We know it does.  But the presumption that massive fraud exists because a few examples of small time fraud are identified is Trump Crazy.

Sorry, but you have a weak argument. D'Souza's documentary went into great detail explaining the science and metrics. No one needs to spoon feed it to you because if you can't understand it now, what can re-explaining it to you do? Let me add one thing. The videos (which were the official video covering the ballot boxes) showed the same people depositing scads of illegal ballots for pay. (They took pictures of each ballot to be paid for it. Perhaps some of those pix will come to light?) The legally obtained cell phone tracking proved the identity of the scammers.

Law enforcement were finding illegal ballots and taking fingerprints off them. The next day, after that was announced, the scammers all started wearing blue gloves.

According to the visible evidence (only some of the scammers, because there were far more than showed up in the video) The numbers of these ballots were far in excess of the quantity needed to upset the election.

Courts refused to even look at the eyewitness affidavits of other scamming because they claimed there were not enough votes contested to change the election. They claimed official poll watchers lacked standing.

Dominion machines were not allowed to be audited after 2020, and began suing anyone who mentioned they were susceptible to hacking. Then they were found to have been hacked and votes moved around in 2022. Mike Lindell is well-placed to make a fortune counter-suing them.

Sorry, but time is not up to look at stolen elections. We do not want you guys to do it again. One case of an incompetent scam President was bad enough. No one wants you to double-down and make it worse. I have visions of you all wearing blue MAWA hats.

Have you read any criticisms of those metrics? Because they exist and they're pretty damning, frankly.

I remember when you predicted the literal apocalypse, William. I am comfortable saying that this prediction is second only to that one for sheer implausible hilarity.

Sorry, Tom - but who gave any scientific criticisms? I saw none that anyone could find plausible. I saw the same person putting ballots illegally in ballot boxes in multiple precincts. Did you find those scammers with blue gloves and get eyewitness affidavits from their immediate family. Be careful if you do. You might lack standing to admit them into evidence.

BTW: predicted the literal apocalypse? Are you pulling an Adam Schiff?

I do predict a huge Red Wave - unless the Vote-Scamming Democrats are able to steal it again, with everyone's eyes wide open. ...And if the Dems lose their status as a recognized party, that would only be an apocalypse for them. The rest of the world would celebrate.

Interesting that you have researched me (and found someone else) instead of the facts and info presented. But you evidently are selective as to where and how you get your information. (More proof of attacking the messenger and ignoring facts.)

Here is a list of new info you have missed, based on your history:

not censored. Somebody on 4chan claims to have hacked Biden's icloud account and published by the tabloid Daily Mail. That's a far cry from Hunter being indicted.

Biden just today:
Quote
You had to put on your windshield wipers to get literally the oil slick off the window. That's why I and so damn many other people I grew up with have cancer.

Joe Biden has cancer. Now, given the guy's pathological lying over the last 40+ years, maybe he's just lying again. But it's a pretty big deal when the person currently occupying the Whitehouse claims to have cancer. What kind of cancer? Is he getting treatment? How does that treatment affect what little is left of his cognitive abilities? Is this fatal and, if so, how long are doctors giving him? What's the transition plan?

JFC, this is quite the bomb to casually drop so I think it's just his pathological need to lie about stuff but, come on.

That's the best you got? Are you serious? Biden literally said he has cancer. You can go see it. Your response is to engage in yet another logical fallacy -- remember when you used to call those out? Now you embrace them. Have you considered mental health care?

It is obvious that the pot is calling the kettle black, neh?

The points made needed to be addressed. Only a fool would pretend they don't matter. And only a baby fool is unable to offer any refutation instead of insult.

I think Crunch is dead on. Did Biden speak off the cue cards and reveal something he shouldn't have? Can his handlers well versed in elder abuse walk it back? Will the complicit media take official notice?

Look, either Biden can no longer communicate and needs to be deposed, or something is brewing. No one wants him to run again. No one wants  Harris to replace him. She would be a disaster for the Dems because she's livid for how they made her a pariah. She was forced into impossible duties that showed her stupidity. At least Biden has the excuse of age-related mental problems.

The media cannot just let this go. Which way will they jump - and how does this fit into their timetable of Machiavellian control of the White House? How can they last until The Red Wave takes over the House and Senate? It has never been more important for them to retain their power and control of Justice. Because of their new precedents, they will be targeted with severe penalties when their time is up. Hillary, Sussman, Hunter, Joe, and James Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, AOC, Waters, and the other Dems who thought they were immune to the Law know their time is limited. They only have four months to figure out a scam to survive.

*sigh*
No, they don't need to be addressed. They aren't even "points."
I tried very hard when Trump was our blathering, incoherent CINC, to not make hay out of his obvious failures of speech. He's an old man and was never particularly articulate, and so I endeavored to limit myself when criticizing his speeches to obvious lies, false claims, and egregiously bad opinions. That he could occasionally get halfway through a word and then fumble his way into a completely different word was embarrassing, perhaps, but not materially important.

Without doing any research into this, I recall that at least three members of Biden's close family have had serious cases of cancer, and I'm pretty sure (but could be wrong, and don't really care enough to Google it) he's discussed having growths removed. Like Trump, the man is old, and has never been a particularly good public speaker. But he's not going to pretend to have had cancer just to get a crowd's sympathy; neither is he going to use that opportunity to break the very important national news that he, the sitting president, has a malignant cancer. A far more charitable reading, and by far the most likely one, is that the man misconjugated a verb or, less charitably, lost his way while personalizing his family's cancer issues.

If you're predisposed to view Biden as senile or pathologically dishonest, of course, you're going to leap to another explanation. But let's not pretend that the people making hay about this in the right-wing blogosphere are doing anything but manufacturing concern about an issue that could only matter if Biden did in fact have cancer and chose that moment to announce it, which would frankly be remarkable.

I understand why it is so incredibly important to you for this to be part of a larger narrative that fits your overarching storyline, William. But it's crazy talk.

-------

But, hey, let's be unfair for a second. I don't like playing with equivalences, but I think we have an obvious one to bring up, here. What do you think Trump's false claim during the campaign to have seen televised footage of "thousands of thousands" of people in the street cheering as the WTC fell says about his character or the skill of his handlers? How many such unforced errors do you think Trump would need to make to be demonstrably incapable of communication?

Of course they are points, just ones you are afraid of. Since the Elder Abuse handlers walked back the cancer statement we know he and his family have had bouts of cancer, but not considered life-threatening - escept for Bo.

Of course they are points. Your deflection at calling Trump incoherent is sad and self-defining. No one says Trump speaks bureaucratic like a denizen of the Swamp - instead he is regarded as a great communicator who talks to his supporters like no one else has since Reagan. Your "obvious "lies" include Trump saying "Russia! Russia! Russia! was a lie. He was right. You were wrong. But  you still count all that as unTruth.

Without doing any research into this, I recall that at least three members of Biden's close family have had serious cases of cancer, and I'm pretty sure (but could be wrong, and don't really care enough to Google it) he's discussed having growths removed. I understand why it is so incredibly important to you for this to be part of a larger narrative that fits your overarching storyline, William. But it's crazy talk.

My linked article already explained his skin cancer non-malignant cancer. The issue here is his unfounded speculations that says Delaware is a toxic waste-dump and everyone has suffered from it. ...And yes, Biden is certainly used to saying outright lies to get a crowd's sympathy.

One thing you cannot argue is that Biden is senile and pathologically dishonest. He has always been an unrepentant liar and plagiarist. You cannot ignore that with rationalizations. He is also being abused by his staff and handlers.

You are the king of disinformation. I also saw the crowds in the Middle East cheering. It wasn't in Detroit, but might have been in Dearborn. You know there are places that revel in dissing the USA. You don't need to help them. It is laughable to put the dynamic energy machine that is Trump acting like Biden who still screws up even with everything written down for him in big block letters on crib notes.
