I believe you are conflating two sets of numbers.  Disney had a ten year plan that involved multiple billion dollar investments in FL.  I believe that there was a projection of 20K jobs all together.  The corporate center is just one of those investments.

Even Yahoo news sees the truth.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-russian-collusion-hoax-good-080201121.html

"Trump was right: 'Russian collusion' was a hoax. Good luck regaining public's trust.

... "Durham slammed the FBI’s investigation – dubbed Crossfire Hurricane – into the Trump campaign for its “serious lack of analytic rigor” and a “cavalier attitude” for accuracy.

“...We conclude that the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report,” Durham wrote.

For its part, the FBI does not dispute the report’s findings, but says it has already taken action and added safeguards in its investigations."

That was an opinion piece taken from USA Today by a conservative op ed writer.  Yahoo posts from multiple outside sources both conservative and liberal.

I don't remember seeing any college records from Trump.  I believe he actually sent letters to his schools blocking the release of said records.  I also find it funny that the GOP governor of Hawaii verified he was born there based on the birth records but that is not enough for the conspiracy theorists.

Did you ask Trump to provide these?

Anyone who works in healthcare understands the danger of secondary infections.  That's what this article is referring to.  Ultimately no one dies of COVID.  They die of the effects COVID has on the body.  Those in this study were on vents because of COVID.  The fact that it was secondary pneumonia that killed them does not change the fact that they were on a vent because of COVID.  I am a healthcare professional and I can tell you COVID was absolutely real.  You can talk about some grand conspiracy driven by big pharma.  I'm sorry but if you actually believe one corporation can control all medical data and research you know nothing about medicine and are basically saying you know better than those who have spent years studying and serving.

- Trump

I don't believe Trump was referring to testifying but about the gag order.  He may call it unfair but it is not a lie.

It does irritate me that those who claim it was impossible for him to get a fair trial were not in the court room and did not hear the evidence.  They are also basically calling into question the integrity of the jurors.  If Trump is not guilty of this then he is the victim of his own bad behavior including adultery and womanizing.  It can be claimed that his grab them comment was locker room talk but it did him no favors.  The fact that a number of other women have claimed assault doesn't help his case either.

Anyway Trump has bigger worries with the fraud case and the case of election interference in GA.  My guess is his adoring fans have already donated more than 5 million to cover his legal fees.

If Tara wants to sue Biden I have no issue with that either.  Let her go for it.

I’m superstraight, but when my mom gave birth to my sister, I am imitated her and tried to nurse my stuffed tiger. If I’ve been in one of the specially groomed preschools that Biden is trying to push on the country, I probably would’ve been taken from my parents and transed for having too many “female interests.

Comic relief from Ann Lesby PHD: “This is why it is dangerous to leave trans children untreated. Tragically, many will forget their trans identity and live the rest of their lives as cis” ;D

Thanks for providing this study.  Any time I see something like this referenced I try and find the source.  I was able to track it down and it is an extremely complex piece of work.  Sorry, I am used to reading standard medical papers not psychological ones.  I am attaching a link for anyone interested.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8039393/

Since this issues seems to be extremely important to the Right at the moment I decided to take a look at the numbers.

I am attaching an interesting Reuter's article on the issue but it looks like these numbers are miniscule.  The US birthrate is just under 4,000,000 children a year.  in 2021 228 children (13-17 year olds) received top surgery, 1390 received puberty blockers, and 4231 received hormone therapy.  These numbers are increasing but permanent changes for children represent a very small group.  I am sure that there are doctors out there who do not follow the extensive protocols set up for gender transitioning but I am guessing they only represent a fraction of these cases.

https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-transyouth-data/

I am not a big proponent of conspiracy theories but the idea that there is a big drive to normalize transition does not seem to be backed up by the evidence.  With a population of ~330 Million you are going to find individuals that are not happy with the choices they made and in these cases the system likely failed.  That doesn't mean that the LEFT is pushing or promoting these treatments as the norm.

The nature magazine, it, and other studies have showed it does have some antiviral effect

Did you read the Nature article.  It states there MAY be antiviral effects but that additional studies are required to confirm.  There are other better antiviral drugs that physicians should be using.

That being said the biggest issue with I had with the use/misuse of ivermectin is that politicians started promoting it as an alternative to vaccination and masking.  Rightly or wrongly this had a ripple effect that stigmatized studies that might show it's effectiveness or lack there of.  In addition even if it is an effective treatment for an individual which is still questionable promoting it's use  over masks and vaccines it provides a significantly smaller societal benefit.

If you ask a woman when she figured out she was pregnant, especially when it wasn't intended, it would be beyond six weeks. I mean, the first symptom is missing your period, and that's four weeks in. DeSantis is going all in on his Florida strategy to become President, but I think he's forgetting most of America aren't Florida Man.

Just a minor quibble.  Ovulation generally occurs around day 14 and pregnancy generally occurs (although is not limited to) a few days around that event so the first missed period is likely to occur around two weeks rather than four weeks in.  That doesn't change your overall argument.  I just like accuracy.  It is also important to add that younger women do not always have regular periods and depending on weight and environment frequently miss them without being pregnant making the six week point even worse on those that may be most in need.

There’s no precedent for the pharmafascist ban on antiviral use of Ivermectin. Nature magazine was THE most prestigious medicine & science Nobel Prize winner during Before Times.

Based on your comments I looked up the article in Nature since I was unaware of any peer review studies that gave definitive support to the use of Imvermectin for Sars COV-2.  Here is the conclusion.  I have highlighted the key point.  There are other early articles but this is the latest and is not contradictory to the earlier ones.

Quote
Conclusion
We have summarized published results on the inhibition of multiple viral and host targets that could be involved in SARS-CoV-2 replication and the disease COVID-19. Although multiple antiviral and host target activities have been reported for ivermectin in SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, it is still unclear if any of these activities will play a role in the prevention and treatment of the disease. The controlled clinical trials that are underway will reveal if these activities will translate into clinical efficacy.

Don't bother with any warnings.  They won't convince anyone who isn't already.  Even if they agree that climate change is occurring they will never admit man as the source.

It is the same with those screaming about electric vehicles.  Anyone with half a brain understands that fossil fuels are a thing of the past.  As clean energy continues to expand and we move towards a world fueled by fusion electric will replace nearly everything.  It is going to happen whether anyone wants it or not.  Yes there are current barriers with storage, batteries, and charging but how many people regularly drive more than 100 miles a day?  As we move in to the new electric world the free market will push innovation and drive new tech growth the same way as it always has.  Unless of course we end up destroying ourselves on the way.

We live in a country of 300+million people.  There are going to be murders, rapes, and other violent crimes every day.  While each crime is horrible it does not mean that every event needs to be front page news.  I find Fox to report on far more of these crimes in graphic detail far more than other national news providers.  When you discuss mainstream media pushing agendas I completely agree.  The difference is the agendas they are pushing.  Fox is great at pushing an agenda that is designed to instill fear and having the largest viewership of any source it has the largest impact.  Yes bad things happen to good people but when that is in your face everyday all day an individual become paranoid.  Part of me feels sorry for the 84 year old who was so afraid that he felt he needed to shoot a teenage boy.  What caused that fear?  We may never know but when people become afraid of everyone the rational part of their brain shuts down.

So you really don't think that any of the 200 suspected bodies from scans has a body in it? In one of my earlier articles, it explains that they will drill a core to extract a sample, on which DNA analysis can be done.

As for the complications listed in my article, there are property rights to dig at all. But probably at least one grave could be investigated. At which point the argument will be natural causes, not nearly enough DNA found maybe it was only a dozen.

I think everybody knows the playbook by now, firmly established by the Holocaust deniers.

What I’m saying, is that when churches are getting burned in the area, there’s a reasonable obligation for them to check that there are even bodies there. Unless you think that the government really should stand by and let churches burn as policy, for things that happened elsewhere.

In regards to the church burnings.  I don't believe any of us support those whether this particular school was responsible for a large number of deaths or not.  To me the modern day coverups are almost as maddening as the policies that cost so many children their lives, health, happiness, culture, family......

If you are responding to me then the answer is no.  I would be surprised if bodies were not found.  What I am saying is that there are either unregistered graves there or there are not.  Based on the current evidence there should absolutely be at least some significant level of excavation to verify or rule out the presence of burials.  If they are verified then a full scale investigation should occur.  A drill core is a good start but that seems a little weak and potentially destructive of possible evidence to me.  To me property rights are secondary to the evaluation of a potential crime scene.

Reading this article the most pertinent piece of information is that there have been no excavations to determine if mass burials exist or not.  Seems like a pretty straight forward way to prove things one way or the other.

As misguided as the are, MAGA at least consists of a majority working class body of Americans making their leaders & media follow along rather than being led by the nose by lying leaders.

As Winston says, hope will have to come from the proles.

I will agree that MAGA is generally made up from the working class.  You seem to be indicating that that somehow exempts them from being used by leaders that have little interest in the people they represent.  What indication do you have that any of their leaders care one bit about them?  Trump and the like give speeches specifically designed to anger the people with the horrible oppression they are under.  Much of what is said is demonstratively wrong.

There is certainly something to be said about the wisdom of the hardworking however that is not what I see happening here.  You are also discounting the wisdom who do not blindly believe everything they see on TV or read in the news.  I am sure there are educational institutions that do a lousy job teaching it's students to think for themselves but they would be the minority.

The Right wants to accuse the left of grooming students to believe liberal values and faults schools that don't allow ultra conservative voices on campus and I am sure there are cases where this happens.  On the other hand that is exactly the opposite of what is happening in FL right now.

We are all guilty to an extent of finding informational sources that support our own view however I would guess that you will find that individuals on the Left use much broader sources of news than the MAGA crowd.

In Fall of 2020 I was living in dread that something else would strike.  I had great vision in both eyes but because of nerve damage they would not function together.  My mom and daughter were still recovering and I was just waiting for one of us to get COVID (we lost three elderly friends to it) or something worse.  I had just started driving short distances with one eye patched.  I was traveling to an account and realized something different was going on with my vision.  I removed the patch and the nerves had repaired themselves (this does happen but not usually as drastic as mine).  My mom was released with a near full recovery and my daughter was sent home (her recovery was a lot longer).  At this point I am just happy and grateful that we all ended up where we are.

Thanks for your kind thoughts.  I wasn't trying to compete just let you know that some times things can take an unexpected turn for the better.  That is what I hope for you.

Hey Pete-  I was already pretty familiar with your story but thanks for the glimpse.  I can't imagine the pain you have experienced with Thing two.  Kids are hard.  I have had my own challenges although they have been more health related.

On 911 I was working at a hospital in Manhattan (I travel for work) when I got a call from my wife.  My youngest (Thing 3) had been complaining about leg pain and the doctor had just called with a Leukemia diagnosis.  It was a nightmare getting out of the city but after I crossed the GWB the roads were empty.  That started a 27 month course of treatment.  She responded well although she lost a couple of friends from the hospital.  Fast forward to late 2019.  She is recently married and just finishing Fall Term when she starts feeling some dissociation.  She figures it is just end of term stress.  Right before Christmas she collapses.  She is taken to the ER and they do a work up and find nothing.  They decide it is stress and put her on Ativan and tell her to see a psychiatrist.  Her appointment is cancelled when the MD has a family emergency.  My wife and I live in WI and she is in PA.   Her and her husband are supposed to come visit but he calls and says she seems to be getting worse.  We decide to head out and drive the 13 hours to get there.  By this time my SOL is frantic because she is starting to become catatonic.  We arrive and at first she doesn't respond at all and then she "wakes up" and starts telling us that she is Jesus and has to die to save the world.  Then that merges into a SCFI scenario.  There is nothing stranger than having someone you have known all your life discuss the irrational in a totally rational voice.  We took her to the ER and they admitted her to the associated psych hospital.  We spent two days with absolutely no communication and then they called my SOL and told him she had been moved to the ICU.  We went to the hospital and my wife went into Mama Bear mode.  They were still not taking anything seriously even though she was now comatose.  My wife had just put a book on her reading list called Brain on Fire (Also a Netflix movie if anyone is interested).  My wife insisted that they have a neurologist see her and that she wanted her tested for Anti NMDA Encephalitis. They pushed back but eventually they ordered an EEG on her.  It turns out she was experiencing constant seizures.  They ended up airlifting her to a university hospital in Philly.  She spent six months in a coma before she started waking.  She spent another 3 months in step down before they started rehab.

Did I mention that because of Covid restrictions we couldn't visit her?  We are now out a couple of years.  She has recovered to the point she will.  She is almost back to normal however she suffers some short term memory deficits so she will probably never be able to complete her degree.  That being said she is nearly herself and we are grateful.  She told us last weekend that she and her husband are expecting.  They are thrilled but my wife and I both worry for her and the child.  She could relapse or all of the chemo drugs she has taken could impact the babies health.  Fingers crossed.  My wife still wonders if we made the right decision having a third.  As much as we love her it has been difficult.

What I didn't mention and is a story for another day.

My oldest was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 7.  She keeps herself so healthy it is hardly worth mentioning.
Also in 2020 I was climbing a ladder at my mom's to fix a gutter and a rung broke dropping me into a bush that showed it's appreciation by jabbing a branch into the brain scraping the side of the Internal Carotid Artery.
My mom fell and fractured her skull putting all three of us in Neuro ICU in 2020.  We all experienced near full recoveries so I guess we are in better shape than Thing 2.

I will also say that no one I knew would have voted for Trump no matter what was reported.  It was not a vote for Biden but a vote against Trump.

Anyway as someone who studied law you should know that while there appear to have been some legitimate files on the laptop there is no way to prove that it belonged to Hunter and that the majority of the contents were his.  There is no chain of custody and the gentlemen whose shop it was dropped off at has stated that there were files added after it left his custody.  Not exactly a solid piece of evidence.

Auditing someone like me with a basic income structure doesn't tale much time.  Auditing individuals that make over 10Mil a year are going to be in an entirely different league.  The fact tat in some cases the tax laws are vague doesn't help.  I have no issues what so ever with starting by auditing the groups you have listed. It is a start but I am guessing that it is also a resource hog.  Especially since I am guessing there is a significant amount of specialty training for these kinds of audits.  Is the IRS prepared for this type of process?  If not how many more agents do they need?  I am not in a position to be able to answer those questions.

So... before we get a third instance of "I guess they are saying it is okay to kill a black man with a gun" in this thread, everyone does realize that Garrett Foster was white, right?

It makes it hard to believe that certain people have actually looked into this case enough to have such strong opinions.

I did look at the case but had not seen a picture of Foster and I made a stupid assumption since it was a BLM rally.  I stand corrected.  Thank you,  I like to be accurate in my statements.

You are going to make me believe Tom's allegations about you jumping to conclusions based on what you think I am saying.

Are you specifically referring to some kind of COVID related forgiveness?  If so then you can limit your debt forgiveness plan to those most impacted which could be argued to include nurses as well as other medical personnel.  It might be difficult to draw a clean line since certain groups working in certain healthcare locations were impacted more than others.  ER and ICU staff were probably hit the worst while general pediatric staff were only minimally hit unless they were at a major university hospital.  I am not trying to understate the value or impact on the nursing staff but just pointing out that even a "simple" proposal is not really that simple.  How do you determine who qualifies becomes complex.

If you are referring to deb forgiveness in general then why only nurses when there are shortages of many other critical service providers.  In general I am not a strong advocate for student debt forgiveness with the exception of those who were promised it and the DOE failed to follow through on.  If our politicians are really interested in fixing things then they need to fix the problems that led to the current debt issue before they even consider debt forgiveness otherwise the issue never gets fixed.  There are a number of measures that could be taken to help fix the problem including government subsidies for certain areas of studies or debt credit per year working in a high need field.

I was hoping to focus on this specific case but.......

You appear to be confused about the Rittenhouse case.  I assume you are referring to the wrongful death lawsuits which includes the Kenosha Police Dept.  And those bringing the cases accuse the Kenosha PD of deputizing Rittenhouse.  Kenosha PD denies that any deputization occurred so it has no impact on either case unless the Kenosha PD is lying which seems unlikely since I would assume a paper trail would need to exist.

My point was to be ambiguous.  I am well aware that there were a number of issues with online schooling that caused grades to drop.  My point was you took a group of people and expected them with little or no training to provide an equivalent education to that which was done in person. I would have had issues with that type of learning.

If you are strictly looking at those impacted by the pandemic then they were certainly not placed in the same physical risk as hospital workers.  I we are looking at a broader picture we are already facing shortages in a number of critical service fields and unless we as a society find ways to encourage new students in these under appreciated fields things are going to go down hill fast when the majority of boomers start needing elderly care.

I'm wondering what the conservative cohorts on Ornery think of Abbott's move to pardon a recently convicted murderer.

It seems that Abbott and Carlson no better than a jury that Daniel Perry deserves a pass for killing Garrett Foster.  I guess a black man legally carrying a gun is now a threat worthy of death.

Nurses are great but they are not the only unsung heroes.  What about the Respiratory Therapists and Rad techs that worked the front lines?  What about the supporting groups from the lab?  I find it hard to draw the line when it comes to who deserves what.  Why not add the teaches who were suddenly required to modify their teaching methods to support remote learning.  It can be hard in person to manage a class of students.  I imagine it was much more difficult to manage those you can't fully monitor.

I personally think if we as a society are going to provide loan assistance then we need to use a model that looks at fields that have shortages and benefit society such as nurses, teachers, social workers......

I see the irony of threats to impeach her while Clarence Thomas remains in office after the latest massive ethics violation.

I guess the ;) wasn't enough to label this as satire.  These are the kind of arguments I expect to hear from Trumpophants.  Kind of Like But Hillary or Hunter's laptop.

I will say I was not happy with the WI state constitutional changes.  I thought the wording was designed to mislead and were purposely vague.

Two real potential arguments that Fox will not make  ;)

Fox absolutely had the intent to harm.  It's just that the intent was directed at the Democrats and Dominion was just a vehicle to do that harm.
Dominion is just a victim of Fox's desire to maintain profits there was no real malice was meant.
