Here isn't there, and national politics isn't local. Honestly though, I'm not sure that is worse than telling people to not have restrictions and than throw a maskless she bang. Sure, that avoids hypocrisy, but is it better?
I might tell people to eat better, and then choke down an entire cheesecake. Does that make me a bad person, or undermine my advice?
Here, of course, we aren't just talking about advice. We're talking about enforced restrictions? If so, we'd expect them to be subject to the same penalties. It doesn't mean what some would like it to mean, that secretly leadership never believed in the restrictions but was just trying to prepare everyone for the antichrist with socialism.
