https://finance.yahoo.com/news/everybodys-mad-at-biden-141138578.htmlLess to do here with the physical manifestations of Biden's obvious dodderingness and more to do with his political feeblemindedness, Rick Newman does a good job of nailing Biden on the issues of climate change and gas prices. The video was just as good as the article too. Love the part about how the news of Biden allowing drilling on some federal lands but hiking the fee was released on Good Friday, a time used for burying information, almost as if Biden was trying to whisper the news figuratively the way he often does literally.
One thing that has me scratching me head is how Saudi Arabia increasing production is good at all for the environment or climate change compared to America doing it. How many gallons of fossil fuels are burned in a supertanker's trans-Atlantic voyage compared to what's required to transport oil and gas in pipelines when it's produced here?
Biden ran on transitioning away from fossil fuels. Did he seriously not foresee $4 a gallon gas prices? I mean that's a no-brainer. That's actually just the beginning too and very mild. The policy that Biden ran on should anticipate even higher gas prices than this, much higher, like maybe double, and yet we've just gotten the mildest taste and already Biden's pulling his hair out by the plugs and crying to Saudi Arabia for mercy.

Just a side note and to tout my horn a little but I agree with trying to transition away from fossil fuels, maybe not so much by governmental decree but it's nice when people try not to waste gas and electricity which is why I love my Prius and now my Tesla. Gotta say that Tesla is nice. Figuring it out makes me feel like a caveman in a spaceship, but that's one sweet ride. I'm not getting rid of my Prius though as 50mpg is also in a sweet spot and for a long trip or when the Tesla needs more time to charge it's nice to have a backup plus it's an old cheap beater car you still can't beat with a stick.
If forced to choose, I'd probably have to side with the environmentalists against Biden for reneging on his promises to protect the Earth. I don't know about man made climate change but I do know there are two other important issues. Pollution is real and there is a finite quantity of fossil fuels on the planet. Whether we have 500 years worth or 2000, it's not fair to future generations for us to squander their resources as frivolously as we do. While we often sing the praises of our ancestors and bless them for the sacrifices they made to get us where we are today, our descendants may well be cursing our memories and how extravagantly we lived at their expense. There's some chance they'll have fabulous new energy sources to provide for all their needs and desires, but it's a big gamble we don't have the right to wager when they're the only ones who will pay the price if it's lost.
